Conductor screen

Insulation screen

A layer of crossslinkable semiconductive compound extruded directly over the insulation during the XLPE insulation process.

Metallic screen

Helically applied coppe rtape or copper wires applied with a lay or a combination of copper wires and copper tapes applied over the insulation screen.

Color code

In case of three core cables phase identification tape ( red/yellow/blue) are longitudinally applied on the insulation screen.

Assembly

In the case of three core cables, the three cores identified as red, yellow and blue are laid up together with polypropylene string fillers at the interstices between the three cores. A binder e.g., polyester tape is wrapped round the assembly to form a compact circular cable during this process.

Inner sheath option

Black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or Polyethylene (PE) Compound is extruded over the laid up 3 core cable or on the screened single core cables.

For single core cables round aluminumn wirres applied with a lay.For three core cables galvanized round steel wires applied with a suiotable lay over the bedding.

Outer sheath

Flamner rertardant PVC type ST2 or PE ST7 OR halogen free material type ST8 is avaialable as an option.
